"Food is our business" is the credo of the EGV AG, based in Unna, and it is one of the companies of the future in this industry with its 800 employees. The food service with six branch offices provides catering services for everyone, from day care centres to old age homes. The importance of their in-house frozen storage is increasing as the demand for deep-frozen goods increases.
Food retailing for bulk consumers has its focus on community catering: hospitals, retirement homes and corporate catering are supplied for, as well as student services, for example in Bochum or Dortmund. Restaurants are also included among their customers, for example, the BVB-Tempel Signal Iduna Park and the West-In-Hotel in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
"Marketplace" was the theme chosen for the entrance and reception area of the trade fair. Inspired by high-quality, regional food, various companies presented themselves with various products in market stalls. A uniform backdrop, such as a farmhouse from the Munster region, also helped the visitors establish a sense of freshness, regionality and confidence in the products offered.
In a pleasant atmosphere for conversation, created by stylised trees, hay bales and farm furniture, various delicacies could also be tasted.
